Hi, this is the first time I hear about a jewish Plachta.Plachta was a fairly common name in that region.Sorry ,no connection.

There is a large Jewish Plachta family from Lodz descended from Nosson/Nathan Plachta. We currently know of descendants of two of this sons: Daniel (my great-grandfather), whose descendants are in England and the US; and Jacob, whose descendants are in England, the US, and Israel. There were probably a whole host of other brothers that we didn't know about. Our family also used the names Plicht, Pleeth and Plight.
