Hi, my great-great-grandmother was Florence Marguerite Plachmann. She died on 12/01/1900 aged 35, but I don't have her date of birth. The 1901 census shows that her son (then aged 3) was living with his aunt Mena Joline (assume nee Plachman?) at 493 Sutherland Place, London. Also at this address was Mena's son Victor (18) and her brothers, CARL (22) and Oscar (36). Carl's age ties in with your records!
Does this agree with your research?

Hi. I've just googled Plachmann again and there's now an article from Kirklees Council saying that Carl Arthur Plachmann had a jewellers' shop in Berlin at the time of WW1. I'll let you know if I find anything else.
