James Place, Peleg Place and Reuben Place are generally accepted as brothers, all of Lower Smithfield Twp., Northampton Co., PA at the time of the Revolution. Reuben applied for a Revolutionary War Pension, in which he states that his father was Phillip Place.

Phillip Place is listed close to James and Peleg Place in tax
lists in 1780's and 1790 census, and also land grants in 1793.
Not found afterward. Apparently came from New York State based on birthplaces of sons. Any further information on Phillip Place, his wife, other children, and parents wanted.

I have never found any evidence supporting John Place and Elizabeth Gross as the parents of these three

His parents are Thomas Place, b1760
Mary Briggs, b 05-09-1763, d18-09-1852

I am interested in this family especially the Peleg line. Do you agree that Phillip is the father of Peleg and Reuben. I wondered why there are many who feel it is John Albro Place and Elizabeth Gross.
