Hi,

I've been trying to figure out that one myself for a few years. Thanks to some help from another, we've figured that Elizabeth was Sister to Ellen Eylenberg(Eilenberger) who came to live with John after Elizabeth died. Unfortuantely, we have not figured out what Elizabeth and Ellens' maiden name. I may have to figure out where the 2 were married and see if I can gain any info from that area.

Amy,

Thank you for responding. I also considered that possibility.
I have not had any luck with death records from PA (other lines) but I may give that a try for Monroe. I might get lucky!

Amy,

My tree is under the name of Schleckser, my maiden name. I think if you click on my user name in this thread it might get you there.

I was surfing around here and did some research on my heritage as well. My grandfather was Melvin Place, and according to census records he had a little brother named Earl. their Father's name was Frederick and he married a lady named Rosa. Does this ring any bells? I hope it does.

Not much, I wish I did. I was just recently looking up this info. All I could find on the census reports was Melvin Place's parents were Frederick and Rosa Place. siblings were Alma, Harlan, and Earl

Hi Amy,
Fred Place is my birth father and Bridget, the woman you were talking to, is my birth mother. I was wondering if you'd kindly share the same info with me that you shared with her? I just started to search my Place side of the family so any info you could share is greatly appreciated! If you'd like to contact me directly, my email is erynsmom03@gmail.com. Thank you in advance for your time.

Noticed your e mail on Message Board. I have a family member named James Place, and his father was John Place.
I wonder if this is the Place you are looking for? Is the surname American Indian Mohican Tribe? Sharon
