I'm wondering if you left our a generation between Thomas and Phillip, because, according to the dates you gave, Thomas would have been 90 when Phillip was born.

Richard, Recently I stumbled upon the lineage of Hannah Cole. If the information I found is correct, Hannah is the daughter of Susannah Hutchinson, and Susannah is the daughter of Anne Marbury. Can you verify this for me? If this is the case, Anne Marbury comes from european royal lineage.
|
Linda That is correct! Hannah's mother Susanna was the only survivor of the Indian masacre at Pelham Bay on August 20 1643. She was kidnaped and "raised" by the Indians for about four years before her return was negotiated. There is a statue in Boston depicted Anne Marbury Hutchinson holding Susanna.
I think the Anne's European royalty has validity, but there is a lot of "misinformation" regarding links to royalty as people have tried to force themselves in royal lines.

Are you showing Elder Stephen Place of RI and Springfield, VT., as the father of Stephen Place, born 1787? Do you have a name for the first wife of Stephen, 1787? I have found the following to be of interest. From the registers of the Anglican Church serving Knowlton, Que., for the year 1885, folio 3.
Mary Jane Knowlton, by her maiden name Place, was born on the fourth, 4th, day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty, 1830, and was Baptized on the first, 1st, day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty five, 1885. I have a record from the Methodist Church serving Stukely South, for the year 1884, folio 9, which states on 1 Oct 1884, Luke Morgan Knowlton, Widower of Brome Twp., and Mary Jane Place, Widow of the late Cylvester Chase of East Bolton were united in marriage. Then, I have from the registers of the Methodist Church serving Stukely South, year 1891, folio 1. Mary Jane Knowlton, daughter of Stephen and Sally Place, widow of Luke Morgan Knowlton, died on 15 Jan 1891, in Knowlton, Quebec. This would suggest that Stephen Place's first wife was named Sally (probably Sarah), however, I have not been able to locate a death record or burial site for either Stephen or Sally. Stephen is not buried in the same cemetery as Hannah Magoon Randall Place. Do you have access to Quebec National Archives microfilm? What do you have on Sally Rathbun?

Is that the Philip who had Peleg, Reuben and James. It looks like it is not, as I thought that Philip was born around 1720. Thanks for your help. Peleg is my relative. Linda S
