Is it possible that your family name may have been Piser/Pizer/Pizor? I have found numerous spellings. My great grandmother was Mary E. Piser/Pizor who was born in Venango Co., PA 1871. Supposedly her family left the area and may have moved to Ohio and Illinois and back to PA later. She was probably linked to the Emery famiy and married Elmer Huff. I have not been able to find her parents. She may have been related to Adam and Susannah Piser/Pisor of Bulter Co./Venango Co., PA in the 1700s. I have some info about a Joseph B. Pizer b) May 13, 1854 in Illinois who married a Mary Jane Murphy. I have a lot of info on various Piser families but can't totally link them to my great grandmother.

My family name is Piser, Peyser, but I've seen it spelled Pezer, and even Peister. We are from upstate NY, Rensselaer County. Do you have any info on this Piser family? There are several Marys but all from NY i think.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have info about a Catherine Pizor(b. sbt.1829) who married Joseph Shields in abt. 1857. A number of different spellings have been found for the last name, even Basor or Bashore. These Pizors came from Germany in the 1700's and settled in Maryland and then in western Pennsylvania. The Pisor and Shields married into each other's family in many situations. Some of them eventually moved to Ohio and Illinois. I have not been able to trace my family line directly to this family but they indeed lived near the same area where my great-grandmother was born. Part of the info I have says that the family originated in Germany but probably left from England to come to the U.S.
The name Casper rings a bell and I believe there may be more info I have on another Catherine Pisor and other Pisor's who returned to Europe. Do you have any other info I may be able to link with my info?

My grandfather was Dimiter Pizur. He married Susan Antoni and they eventually resided in Scranton PA. The surname spelling was later changed to Pezer. Antoni immigrated from Europe.

My grandfather was born in Pennsylvania in 1916. He and his family, his parents, Maxim and Suzzanna Keblish, and his brothers and sisters, then moved to Herkimer, NY, where I now reside. If you know anything about the Pennsylvania Keblishs, or if you think we may be related, any information you could give may help us both in our searches.
