There is a good history of the Pizor family in the Butler Pa library. It is in the Duffy-Chambers book. It goes back to Frederick Pizor, who came to USA and settled in eastern pa and then came to Armstrong Co and then Butler Co. Two of his sons married Heilman girls from Kittaning, Pa. One of them was Jacob Pizor. His son Johm was my gg grandfather. There was also a Picer family that settled in Venango Co Pa. I think that they were from the same clan in spite of the spelling. The name pops up often in Butler and Lawrence Co, Pa as they settled on the border of the two counties about 5 miles from Slippery Rock, Pa

I am anxious to get any information about the Pizor(Pizer) family. My grandparents lived in S. Phila. Any relatives of theirs ,whether living in Phila. or not, I would like to hear from. The names were Morris or Maurice Pizor and Louisa B. Moyer( her maiden name). They were married about1885-88 at the little church around the corner in New York city.My grandmother was from Trappe Pa. and was a Mennonite.
There is a Hart and Snellenburg family (or was ) in N. Phila.who would possibly know about the Pizors.Morris Hart was married to Rita Pizor.Snellenburgs are relayed to the Harts.

I don't see any connection. My Pizors came to western Pa. around 1775.

I have a Morris Pizor living in Phila from 1880 on. He married a Louise sometime after 1880. They had (among other children) a Rita who married a Maurice Hart. Rita and her husband were living with her parents in 1920.(according to the 1920 Fed census). The address in 1920 was 811 Lombard St, Phila,PA. Morris Pizor's address in 1900 was 619 South 8th St., Phila., PA.
Any possible connection?

Yes, trhere is a connection. That is the right Pizor family. There were other children.Horace(my father, adentist in Phila. whose office was at one time at 17th and Walnut,Stella,Raymond all deceased of course.Stella's child ,Rita Moak is deceased.Raymond had no children, my sister, Ruth is deceased.
I am anxious to contact any Pizor relatives ,relatives related to my father. I believe he had cousins living in the Phil. area about 1918.
I am also interested in any Connelly family members living in the Maplewood, N.J.area.There was a Frank Connelly who had 6 sons . They lived in that area about1960-1970.He married a Kahryn.
