Hello Melanie!
I noticed that you have the Pixton Coat of Arms! I recently married into the family and I think that would be a lovely gift to my new in-laws for their anniversary. I will gladly pay for Fed Ex postage if you would not mind sending me a copy, or please email it to me if that is more convenient for you @jpix@networld.com

I just read that you have the Pixton C.O.A. and would also be interested in getting a copy too - my Mother is a Pixton. I don't have a fax. I'd be glad to pay the postage. Home address is Derryk Renton, 1162 Summit Drive, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, K9J 8A7.

Many many thanks!

I have been researching the Pixton family tree for many years and there is no Pixton coat of arms. Unfortunatly, there are companies in Britain who take extremely tenuous links with Royalty and make up coats of arms
However, if you want to know about the Pixton family, Professor Paul Pixton at Brigham Young University in Utah has information on all American Pixtons and thier origens from Liverpool

Steven,

How nice it is to hear from you. We missed you in Bowdon in 1998, but your parents were there. I hope to organize another world-wide Pixton/Pickstone/Pickston reunion in the next year or so. I wonder whether there is still interest for this in the U.K.?

I am still working on the comprehensive Pixton family history, but have been sowed a bit by other distractions. I shall keep you posted.

Best wishes. I saw Nevil, Carl and David Pickstone a year ago last September during a stay near Altrincham (at Mere Estate, outside Runcorn). We spent a pleasant evening.

To all others to whom this message might come, what Steven Blake writes is correct: in 1963 I visited the College of Arms in London with the request that they do a search for a reputed coat-of-arms for Pixton; their reply in March 1963 is that there is no record of one haveing been granted. What this means is that references to such in Burke's Armory and other sources are incorrect.

I will be happy to place your name on a mailing list for when we get the Pixton history, complete with origins as far as we have been able to determine them, finished.

The family is recorded as early as 1209 in Norfolk.

Many thanks for your message re: Pixton Family tree/origins. I would certainly appreciate being kept informed as to your progress. (My Mother is a Pixton, born in Grange-Over-Sands, but tells me that her family originated in the Altingham area).
