Hi Chris, I was so happy to hear from you, thank you for replying to my message board message.
I am Jack Pixley s daughter. I am an only child. When I was a very young child I lived with my grandparents Elmer Quail Pixley and Mary Ann Martin. They had a gift shop on Danforth Ave. in Toronto, Ontario. Grandma Pixley died of a major stroke I believe while working in the store.. At the time my Grandpa Elmer was in hospital with prostate cancer and died a while after. I hadn't lived with them for years as my parents divorced. My father (Jack) had a very serious drinking problem. In his 40's he come down with MS again and died in 1974 from cancer of the throat.
I remember vagly being introduced to some of my relatives from around Rochester at the funerals. I believe from my research that your Grandfather and mine were brothers. So that makes us 2nd cousins. I have not had any luck finding others, this is why I was so happy you responded. I would love to exchange info with you. Have you used Ancestry for long. I am retired now and have worked a lot on my ancestry, Did you know you are related to many many kings and queens from all over Europe. I have followed the family tree back to the 6 hundreds
If you want to exchange info this is my email address.
cpixley27@gmail.com I also have Skype if you are interested. Looking forward to hearing back from you again regards, Catherine
