I am back again with updated information. Prior postings have been family stories. I applied for my grandfather's original social security information. Bell Spink Pixler wife of William H. Pixler, mother of Ronald Adrian Pixler is listed in the 1920 US Census. Her son is also listed as Ronald Adrian Pixler. Bell was born in 1865 in Illnois. According to family history William H. Pixler died when my grandfather was a child. According to records I have researched a Willliam H. Pixler died in Ks. at age 34.This would be in line with the oral stories that are told. This would mean that my grandfather was seven years old at the time of his fathers death. I continue to be stumped on my grandfathers line. My mother reports that after my grandfathers father died that contact was lost touch with his paternal family. I have been unable to find any record that is consistent with my grandfathers familyexcept the above. My grandfather was raised in Cripple Creek Colorado. There has been some reference to us being related to the Pixlers from Iowa who migrated from there to Kansas then Colorado. I know that my grandfather was born in Alta Iowa. Some of the records say LaSalle Iowa. If anyone has any information to family connections please email me. Thank you

Dee,
I'm doing research on the Pixlers from KS. Alot of the Pixlers are buried in the Burr Oak Cemetary. I have some photos of headstones. The only two William H. Pixlers in the cemetary are as follows:
William H. Pixler born Jan 12 1836 died Sept 26 1902 (Husband of Phoebe Fortune Pixler) This is my GGG-Grandfather. I descend through his son Jacob Bell Pixler.
William H. Pixler 1868-1948 (He is buried next to his wife Rosa J. Hadley Pixler) This William H. is the son of the above William H. Pixler.
I used to live in KS myself and my mother went to the Burr Oak Cemetary and took these pictures. I have many more but I'm not sure if they are your family or not. I will go through the rest of my stuff and see what I can find on your family.

Dee: I was looking to do some researching on my ancestry and came across your message. My step-grandfather was from Colorado and is who I have been doing my research through. I considered him to be my true grandfather and would like any information on his family that I can get, as I do have his last name. His mother's name was Lillian Hall and married into the Pixler name. Anything would be appreciated! Thanks for the info also!

Might be of some help if I gave you my grandfathers name. (Sorry I am a little tired!) His name is John Edward Pixler and he was born in Colorado to Lillian Hall.

Hi Linda, I actually met your mom and maybe you when I was little. We came to Pueblo once. Patsy daughter Rebecca has also posted on this site. I have pictures of Ella Frances Goad Hall. and Rheamer Clyde Hall.& Peter Samuel Blackburn Goad Great grandmothers father is buried along with Rheamer Clyde Hall in the Evergreen Cemetery in colorado Springs. Their is a Goad family plot there. Grandma's brother Earl sent me pictures when he was cleaning out his house. Unfortunately, the pictures burned in 2002 when I had a house fire. I did save the grandparents on disk, so I do have them. But the pictures of your mom as a child, were destroyed. I do have a picture of grandma and grandpa with all the siblings. if you would like copies please let me know. Nice to hear from you. I am currently working on my masters degree in social work so I didn't respond to this right away. sorry. Look forward to corresponding with you.
