Hi,

I would like to get back to PA where Henry
was born in 1799. Found him in Wayne Co.
1830 with John and Peter. Is there anyone
out there that can help me out.

I have a Amos Pixler (1823) & wife Sarah Ann Markel (1843) both from PA. Is it the same? They had 5 children I think. I have names and some dates.

Christy, I am also looking for the Pixler side of the family. We believe some may have started from New York, but have not gotten back that far. We do know that Amos Pixler was born somewhere in Indiana, ended up in Iowa. However in answer to your question. In the census of 1820, microfilm # M33-98 state of Penn. County of Bedford, district is Woodberry Township, there is a family of Pixlers first name is John (he may be head of house) it shows 1 free white maile from age 1 to 10 (census does not give exact age) one white free maole age from 16-16, one white free female, no slaves or free black people living in the home at that time. The occupation was agriculture. don't know if that helps but good luck in your search. My mom also had an Uncle last name Pixler who worked for the RR in Penn. so who knows we just may be "cousins"
Have a good day
Edith

Surnames: Pixler
Edith,

The John Pixler I'm looking for was b. 1806 PA. He married Anna Butterbaugh 1825 Coshocton Co, OH. All of their children were born between the years 1829-1836. This John on the 1820 census that you are talking about could be a uncle or something like that. I don't know where else to look. If you come across anything else please let me know.

Hi, I am a descendent of John, Henry, David, and Paul Pixler. I have only been able to trace the family tree back that far. Are you any farther along by now? Where do you and I fit? 27th cousins twice removed???
