Virginia,

I hope you still look at the message board. I am just starting my search (about 4 months) and have hit a wall with Frank Piwowarski--married to a josephine and had I think had 7 girls. He may have been married before Josephine. But my grandmother Frances was born in 1904. Her delayed birth certificate states *(dated 1954) states that she lives on 520 market street--which I believe was Water St. Her delayed birth certificate states that Francis (frank) was her father was 45 at the time of birth. It states her mother was josephine Zelinsky and she was 17 years younger then Frank. If all is correct my Frank was born around 1859. If there is any connection I would appreciate any help since this is one brick way that I have been pounding my head against.
Thank you in advance,
J

Your grandmother and my great grandmother (Julia) were sisters. Some sisters changed their last name to Bier. One sister Kate was a housekeeper for the Guinans in Barnesville,PA. One sister I believe is Agness became a nun and was known as Sister Valentine. One sister Helen I believe died very young from breast cancer when getting ready to move into house directly behind 29 west spruce. Swokel at 29 west spruce is where Julia moved when married to Joseph Swokel. The Biers listed in census are actually Piwowarski's. The 1900 census lists a Peter and Valentine Drisky living at west water street as head of household brother in law. In 1910 census, Josephine Piwowarky was listed as head of household and those boys were listed as her brothers....but their last name changed.

don't know if you can help me but I an=m desperately looking for a frank piwowarski that lived in Mahanoy city with his wife Josephine. I believed he died between 1904 and 1911. I know that it may not exactly fit into your family tree but any direction would be helpful
thankyou,

I am searching for information on Antonia Piwowarski. She came from Poland, possibly Sufczyn, Brzesko, and she lived in South Dayton, New York in the 1920's and Dunkirk, New York in the 1940s.
Thats all I know for sure, although I could make a few guesses, but either way I havent been able to find much, if any, information on her.
Thank you!
