do you have any piwowars that lived in chicago area around 1910 and later? my husbands family was from there. his father had 5 brothers and a couple of sisters? did you find any of these in your search?

I am looking for Piwowar's also from the Chicago area. The only thing I really know is my grandmother was Mary Piwowar, I think she had a couple of sisters named Josie and Tillie. Their fathers name was Joseph Piwowar.

nila- I do have a mary piwowar but she married a joseph karpinski.. her father was john mother was anna... I wonder if joseph and john were brothers? there are two families of piwowar's buried in justice ill, at resurrection cemetary.. one family has is headed by apolonia piwowar and has quite a few members buried there... as far as I can tell this is not my family. my piwowar family lived on the south side of chicago, the boys were stanly, matt, chester frank, leo and edward, along with mary. if you come across any of these let me know... good luck! kathy

Kathy, Thank you for your reply. I don't know if there is a connections or not. I just discovered this weekend that my grandmother Mary Pauline Piwowar's family was from Burnham, IL. I am still trying to find out more. I know Joseph Piwowar was Mary's father. I know she had sisters, Josephine, Tilly and Francis and a brother Theodore. Unfortunatly that is all I know at this time. I will keep you posted when as I uncover more information........ Thanks, Nila
