Can anyone tell me the origins of the Piwowar surname? I want to begin researching my ancestory in Poland but just don't know where to begin. If I could narrow it down to a more specific region it would be easier.

Thank you in advance.

I have no clue where the origins of the name is, but in Polish, Piwowar means 'Brewer'. I'm not sure if this will help, but I believe my great-grandmother (Marie Piwowar) came from Rzeszow, Poland.
