I am the great grandaughter of Ettore Pivirotto who came to America in 1893. He departed out of the Le Havre Port. He first settled in PA and then moved to Herrin Il and finally settled in St Louis Mo. He had 9 children, Vesiilla (Lucille), Arthur, Anna, Etalo (Eddie), Ida, Rosemary, Alberina and Marino. 7 of the children have passed and one, Arthur, has not been seen since around 1928 the living child, Alberina, remembers that her father had said he came from a town in Northern Italy but is unsure which one and she also remembers that he had said a brother also came to America. We would like to find out about the brother who came for Italy and also we would like to find out what happen to Arthur and whether he is still alive. He was born in 1908 in PA.

You may want to check out the information at Ellis Island if he came through Ellis Island in New York. I believe the website is ellisisland.org, you could google it. By putting in the name it will tell you the ship he arrived on, who accompanied as passengers etc. Although there is an Arthur Pivirotto on my side who lives in Conn. I do not believe that it is the same one, he is the son of William Pivirotto who was the brother of my Grandfather Anthony Pivirotto. Hope this helps.

I was googling my name to find some info on my past and came across your blog. I can give you much information on the Pivirotto family from St. Louis MO (which is where I am born and raised from. My entire family still lives there. E-mail me at scubanut1@mac.com if you would like further. If not, then good luck on your endeavors.
