Judy, I have just read your post, and wanted to ask you if you have any other info about James Pitzer who married Demarius (Demaris) Pitzer. I am a descendant from their daughter, Cornelia who married Hugh Allen in Monroe County, VA(WV). My Allen line joins with the Dowdy line in Monroe County.
I see some info about the Pitzer family, but I do not have any info about Demarius Padgett, except the marriage date, and the witness that you mention in your post.
