I am looking for information on Martha "Mattie" Pitner (my great, great grandmother) who was born in Tippah Co., Mississippi in 1846 and died in 1906. She married Calvin J. Tidwell in 1872. The connection I am trying to make is the Native American (Indian) lineage. If anyone had any info on the Pitners, esp. regarding their relationship to an Indian tribe, I would appreciate hearing from you.
