What Pitner branch are looking at. My grandfather was John Cusick Pitner. To date I have not found out why the middle name was Cusick other then some relatives telling me that they thought there was a Cusick relative. Unfortunately I have not been able to trace the Pitner line past my 3rd third great grandmother Becca Ann Pitner. Family lore has it that Becca had James Pitner out of wedlock however I have not found anything to substansiate that claim. The line goes:

James Pitner
William Howard Pitner
John Pitner
Bill Pitner (my father)
