Hi Keith,
Thanks for the reply. Actually, I was just hoping there even was a Pitner-Cusick connection somewhere. In short, back in the early 1800's, one of my father's male ancestors (an Osmun) married a Pitner. This occured in Pennsylvania. Years later, my grandfather was born, also in Pennsylvania, and was named Albert Cusick Osmun. Now it occured to me that in tracing the Osmun name back to the 1700's, I never came across a Cusick. So, my working theory is that the Pitner relative must have been related to a Cusick somewhere along the line in order for my grandfather to inherit the name. Do any of your Pitners some from Pennsylvania? My working theory isn't much to go on, but I'd sure be interested in knowing where your grandfather and his line are all from.
Rhonda
