Once and for all there is no such person who belongs to this family. Check the 1880 Census. The name John belongs to one son (John Patterson) and the name Sylvester belongs to another son - (Newton Silvester Pitman.

Mithchell and Minerva are my Great Grandparents; John Patterson is my grandfather. Ever who gave out the names of the family did not remember that the names were mixed up.

I would appreciate your making the correction on your material that you put in Family Trees because this causes incorrect material to be passed along.
