My full name is Alda Alberta Pitta (or Pita) Berneaud Caetano da Rosa.
Are you sure about your great-grandfather's date of birth?
My grandfather's name was Antonio Duarte Pitta (or Pita), he always signed his name with 2 T's, but his children got one T
dropped off the name. People at public registries are known to have done this sort of thing quite often.
My grandfather was born in Seixal, Setubal, Portugal in1889.

My husband's family is from Cuba. His father's name was Jose Pita. He and his wife Maria Montenegro moved from Cuba to Newark, NJ. They had 4 children; three girls and one boy. My husband is the last to carry the Pita name from his father. We have not boys.
