If u have any family who originated from spain in the late 1800's witht the last name Pita-Cadiz please respond. my great grandmothers name was Rosa pita Cadiz.i would appreciate if u have any info on this family.

My ex-husband is a Pita and he comes from Michoacan
Mexico from a large family. Everyone who belongs to
that particular family has a sense or arrogance.

hi, I also look for info on the Pita family. It's the last name of my mother's father and my father's mother. weird. All of Cuban origins. if you should have or need any info, feel free to contact.

hi, on both my parents side Pita is found. In Pinar del Rio, Cuba you find Pitas on mother's side and in Havana on father's. Let's compare information, maybe we are related. I have an ancestor you may be interested in. Captain Sebastian Pita, born Cadiz, Spain in 1820. He emigrated to the US in 1849 aboad the Elijah Swift to New York, NY and settled in at Charleston, SC, where he married Elizabeth Donnelly. Capt. Pita changes his name to Peter Christian shortly before emigrating. Peter and Elizabeth Christian had (1) daughter Juanita Elizabeth Pita Christian, who is my great-great grandmother.

My GreatGrandfather was Manuel Paz Pita, from Galicia Spain! His mothers name was Josefa Pita. Do those names sound familiar? Do you have a family tree I may look at thanks!
