We've uncovered a bit more information since I posted this. My Gr-grandfather Giuseppe's surname apparently stems from Pisciott"i". He was born in Verbicaro, Calabria 20 Jul 1886. His parents were Francesco Pisciotti and Josephina Frasca. Both may have been born in Verbicaro, Calabria. My Gr-grandmother was Maria Riccetti 16 Mar 1888. Her parents were Francesco Riccetti and Teresa Silvestri. Giuseppe and Maria were both Christened in Verbicaro. They married in San Francisco after he brought her over. Giuseppe had several brothers and at least one sister; Giovanni, Vito (who had a twin that died, Antone and then the sister (not sure of her name). We haven't found any links to Scicily but perhaps a common grandparent came from there. I hear there are more Pisciotti's and Riccetti's left in Verbicaro and would like to visit one day to find more information and meet some of our existing relatives. Perhaps I'll find some that know of connections between our families. Please keep in touch and let me know if you find more information.
