I came to this country on or about July 1956, at that time, I was 7 years of age going on 8. I believe my birthday was some time in October. I had an older sister and brother. I remember posing for a portrait with them which was Sepia in color. My sister wore a rather large bow in her hair. My brother enjoyed reading and I believe his name is Giovanni (John). I believe I was brought here on the ship named Christofor Colombus or the ill fated Andrea Doria in July of that year. I believe my mothers name was Josephine. I wore an emerald ring on my left hand (solitare). If you or any other family member find any of this information to be familiar please do not hesitate to contact me at my email address.

Do you know where your PISANO family is from in Italy? Mine is from a town in western Sicily called Calatafimi.

If anyone has PISANOs from that town, let me know.

If this is Barbara Ellenberger, please email me. You sent my family, Martin Pisano, from Pittsburgh, a letter many years ago that I found while doing my Pisano family genealogy. I tried to contact you but the number in the letter just rings and the email was Adelphia which is debunk. I do know that we are not directly related as I have traced our Pisano Family back 3 generations and we do not have a Josephine in our family. I just wondered if you ever found any information on your past. In the letter you referred to sitting on your fathers lap and putting your hand in his shirt pocket. I hope you receive this although its now 10 years later.

Yes. I have some info on Rocco Pisano (1852). Believe he was my Great Grandfather Filippo's cousin. They came from a small town, Montemiletto, near Avellino Itay.
