Seeking descendants of Vincent M. Piracci, a carpenter and contractor, who was born in Italy on 15 December 1891, emigrated in 1905, became naturalized in Pennsylvania sometime prior to 1920, and died in Maryland (I believe in Baltimore City) on 20 June 1963. Vincent was married twice, the first time to a woman (also from Italy, also emigrated 1905, also naturalized in PA) named Maggie (born circa 1894). That marriage produced several children (including eldest child Dominic, who was the father of Margaret D'Alesandro, wife of Baltimore City Mayor Thomas J. D'Alesandro, III), before eventually ending in divorce. Circa 1944 Vincent remarried to Helen M. Lewandowski (my maternal aunt), with whom he remained until his death. Vincent and Helen had no children.
I'm interested in comparing notes, and pictures of Vincent, with his descendants, as I know about his life from the time of his second marriage onward (and personally own all his photos from the era of his second marriage), but virtually nothing about his earlier life and family. I don't seek intensive details about Vincent's first family, but just the basics.
FYI: I have just created a nice memorial for Vincent on Find A Grave, which you can easily access, if interested. It includes a precise description of his grave location, as well as a just-taken photo of his grave marker. (Cemetery in question is Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie, Anne Arundel Co., MD.) Vincent resided in the city of Baltimore during I believe most, but definitely not all, of his adult years. He has many descendants. I believe that Vincent was probably the ancestor of all, or nearly all, present-day Maryland Piraccis.
If anything you're able to share, or that you'd care to discuss, please e-mail me directly at
Genplant29@aol.com. Please include something like "Piracci Genealogy" in the Subject line, so I'll know your message isn't spam. Thanks.
