My line does not seem to connect with your Piquette line at this point. Our Piquette's (Piquet/Picquet) came to New France (Canada) from France (near LeMans) in about the early 1700's. First record I can find is marriage in 1706 in Quebec. If I come up with anything, I will let you know.

Re: Daniel Piquette Ireland to Baltimore MD abt 1840
Do you have an approximate birth year on Edward? Or anything else about him? In the 1880 census Edward Piquett age 31 appears with wife Julia R age 20 and son Willie E age 6 in Clarksburg, Montgomery County, MD. I have yet to prove it but I believe he might be the father of Lillie Mae Piquette who was born in 1881 and married Herbert Karsner Burdette of Clarksburg, MD. Lillie was the grandmother of my sister-in-law who has asked me to see what I could find on her family.

Re: Daniel Piquette Ireland to Baltimore MD abt 1840
Lillie Mabel Piquette who married Herbert K Burdette is the sister of Sadie Piquette, my great grandmother. Their father is John Thomas Piquette. Edward, married to Julia is John's brother. I am happy to share what information I have collected if you would like to email me.

Re: Daniel Piquette Ireland to Baltimore MD abt 1840
Have found Daniel and Sarah in the 1850 census of 1st district of Baltimore which is near Catonsville. He was a gardener. Sarah and children (no Daniel) are found in the 1870 census also in the Catonsville area. Have not found them in 1860. There is another Daniel Piquette in Baltimore City in 1860 with a different spouse and set of children. This Daniel may have caused some confusion to our research.

Re: Daniel Piquett Ireland to Baltimore MD abt 1840
Have found Daniel, his wife, Sarah, his daughter, Mary C. Piquett Casey, and Mary's husband, Timothy, and children's graves in the New Cathedral Cemetery, Baltimore, MD. Marker gives Daniel's dates as 1808-1878, Sarah A. (French) Piquett 1826-1910, Mary C. P. (Piquett) Casey 1858-1943. Still looking for proof of Daniel's parents. Other's research says Ambrose Piquett and Danielle Leigh. Sarah's death cert gives parents names as Thomas French b England and Naomi Brown b Baltimore Co, MD. Looking for more information on Sarah's parents.
