Thank you. My Samuel Pippitt (born 1774) married Rachel Grant (born 1797) and had a Samuel born 1811. Steve and Myrna told me about a sibling of Samuel's, named John who married a Susan and had children also named Samuel (born 1835 I believe) and a Rachel born 1833. (John Pippitt had been born 1803). I found gravessites for Pippitts (as has done Steve Henkel) in Pemberton, NJ and believe I have found the gravestones of Samuel Pippitt born 1774 and his wife Rachel Grant. So, I am thinking this branch of Pippitts were from that particular area. Other Pippitts buried there, and at least one also in nearby Mt. Holly ( Ann Pippitt) beside the Quaker Meeting house. Steve and Myrna Strom have put together wonderful charts- which you may already have by now. I have been away from Pippitt board for awhile. Thanks again for taking time to write oh so long ago. Wonder about the misspelling of your's, but know they often misspelled or adopted other spelling for same person! Elizabeth Pippitt Shapiro.

I have also been neglecting my Pippet side. I don't have anything from Myrna or Steve. Last time I was in contact with Myrna she was heading on a trip. I went to New Jersey in June with the intention of prowling the cemeteries, but I found it more difficult than I thought. Actually going into the small cemetery in Gloucester where I know my grandmother is buried was quite frightening. I just didn't feel safe there.
Any information you have would be wonderful. For some reason the family left the Pem Burlington area and went to Camden to live. Being capenters by trade I can only assume there was work there.

Hello again Kathy, Did you get to Pemberton whilst in NJ? Is Gloucester close by? (I can check map but is not near me at present). Trade of earliest Pippitt I can identify was that of cooper. Pemberton will perhaps unlock some of mystery. I need to get back there. Spent much of my time in Mt. Holly (5 mi. away, so close) before I decided Pemberton was "the place". Eliz
