Anyone done a YDNA study of Pipes lines?

Anyone done a YDNA study of Pipes lines?

We have various lines of Pipes families----Morris, Sylvanus, John Jr as brothers, and then the two sets of sons from the two wives of Capt John Jr. And then there is the entire mystery of whether Hiram Pipes is a Pipes and if so, which through which Pipes did he descend. I have no male direct descendant--father is gone and I had no brothers. I was wondering if anyone HAS already done their YDNA from the Hiram line and found themselves connected to the John Jr line as postulated by past researchers. My mDNA has been a wash--no Pipes connections found as yet.

Learning to click specifically on a state, instead of expecting the search function to cover the entire US----I AM matching to Pipes DNA through the mDNA I submitted!! Since it is mDNA, it is very nonspecific, I'm matching with Windsor, Susannah, mulitple descendants of Capt John, Abner, and Sylvannus. I think Y-DNA is going to be needed to solve which child of John Pipes Sr, Hiram was descended from. But it DOES look like Hiram was a Pipes!!! Very exciting, but it is going to take Y-DNA to eliminate his mother (possibly, but unlikely, a child of Susannah Pipes).

Well I have finally made the decision to have the YDNA37 test done at Family Tree DNA.com.
AND, I have spoken with several people named Pipes who have agreed verbally to also have the test done there. Two of them are Pipes who live in England, one of them is a descendant of the William Pipes who arrived in Nova Scotia in 1774, and I am working on a Pipes who descends from Hiram Pipes. I am also working on a man named PIPE who lives in Australia currently and is a descendant of the PIPE family from ancient times in Staffordshire, England.
My Cousin Jerry Pipes has done a Y-DNA12 test a few years ago at FTDNA and it is posted there. There is also a descendant of Windsor Pipes who has a YDNA37 or 67 test done and posted.
I am currently planning on using the Piper Surname Project as a place to compare our DNA when it is all taken and analyzed. We may start our own surname project in the future.
You can see the results page here. There are currently two Pipes results posted.

Please contact me if your last name is Pipes or Pipe and you are interested in participating.
It seems very likely to me that the Pipes name derived from the Pipe name in the 15th Century in central England. Maybe we can prove it, I don't know for sure.

I've done my DNA at Family Tree. If course I can only do mitochondrial and autosomal, but I'll sign up for the Piper study. My cousin Su texted me and she and her brother are considering it. I'll try to encourage them!
