CHATHAM - Louis P. Pioletti, 72, of Chatham died Saturday, May 7, 2005, at St. John's Hospice.
He was born Aug. 7, 1932, in Sesser, the son of Joseph and Lillian Short Pioletti. He married Nancee Ann Neeld in 1956; she died in 2000.
Mr. Pioletti retired as a technical manager from the Illinois Department of Transportation and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Chatham and the Illinois Association of Highway Engineers.
Survivors: two daughters, Nancee Lu Pioletti of Chatham and Kelly Ann Pioletti of Springfield; two sons, Neeld Patrick Pioletti of Urbana and Joseph Michael Pioletti of Stoughton, Wis.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Andermatt of Columbus, Ohio; and brother, John Pioletti of Pinckneyville.
Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Staab Funeral Home, the Rev. Robert Franzen officiating. Burial: Camp Butler National Cemetery.
