I'm looking for info on my great grandfather, Henri or Henry Pio. He married my great grandmother Mildred Palmer in Toledo or Sandusky area, or Port Clinton, Ohio, or maybe even CLeveland in 1900 - 1905. Thanks.

I would gladly share info but unfortunately I don't have much to share. Henry Pio was French. I don't know anything about his family. My grandmother, his daughter, was born in Toledo, Ohio on February 25, 1905. Either he died after that or they were divorced. By 1922 my grandmother was using the name of her stepfather "Zeh". My great grandmother (Pio's wife) was born in 1888 in Port CLinton Ohio. I don't know anything more. Was your William in that part of Ohio? Was he of French descent? It certainly is not a common name, but its hard to find any trace of it.

my greatgrandfather was William Pio, he married Alice Hamden in Paulding County, Ohio on August 17, 1892. im not sure about the number of children. my grandather Marion Pio was born of that union. his son Sam Pio, also deceased was my father. the Pios state their ancestry as 'French Canadian'. It is a rare name and Henry Pio and William Pio are almost certainly related.

Hi, I am married to a Pio of the line you are from and have quite a bit on that line, the original name was Pailloz, French. It sounded like Pio after all the silent letters and was shortened. I can email you a text file of the ancestors I have in my file. Also pictures. bpio@wctc.net
