Sorry it's taken so long to get back with you. I
don't get to use Ancestry.com much. As far as I
know there is no connection, but I'll keep your
post in mind.

I don't have anything on Robert himself but a lot on his ancestry, if you are interested in a text file of his history and some scanned pictures email me at bpio@wctc.net

Hi. I'm related to Blanche Pio, also recorded as Mary Blanche or Blanche Mary, whose siblings were Leo Dominic, Edward, Leon, Lonnie, Justin Eugene, and Francis Arbel "Arby". Her parents were Frank Dominic Pio and Adelia "Ida" Sordelet. Frank Dominic Pio's siblings were Charles, Mary Louise, Jeannine, Marie, William, Joseph, Marie Rosalie Henrietta "Hattie" and Julin. Frank Dominic's parents were Justin or possible Joseph Justin Pil and Pierrette Melitene or Militine Isabey. Justin's parents were Jean Baptiste Pio and Claude Francoise Vernier.

Do you have information on any of these Pios? The original spelling was Pailloz.

Thank you.

Hi. There is a book that was put together by Terry Gorney, CGRS, Pailloz-Pio Family, From Bournois, France to Besancon, Indiana
She donated copies to the Allen County Public Library in Fort Wayne (IN), the State Library of Ohio, the Ohio Geneological Library in Mansfield (OH), the Paulding County Carnegie Library in Paulding (OH), The DAR Library in Washington D.C., and the Besancon Historical Society in rural New Haven (IN)
I don't know if any copies are available from the author any longer, but I will privately email the address from the book if you can't get ahold of a copy at any of these libraries.
Is there any specific questions you have?

I was interested in finding more Pio/Pailloz ancestors and in verifying information that I already have. Thanks, I would very much appreciate the address from the book. I live in California, though I'm originally from Indiana, so I wouldn't have access to those libraries. What is the name of the book and I'll see if I can get any information on it in librairies close to me in southern California. Thanks again.

Sorry if I confused anyone with my last name. I use both my name, Claudia Vidano and my maiden name, Claudia Mellon. Thanks!

Never heard of that place before. They seem to be mostly from the Peoria area.
