I have found that a large number of Pinedas and Pinedos are originally from the state of Zacatecas in Mexico. There must be some common ancestor that unites all of the Pineda families from this area.

As for myself, my great-grandfather, Nicanor Pineda, was from Tlaltenango, Zacatecas. It'd be great to see if any other Pinedas have roots here as well. Thanks.
