I'm trying to find information about Nicolas Pineau, particularly more information on his parents. Many family trees list his parents as Ambroye Pineau and Jeanne Marie Prault. Some go as far and say her parents are Pierre Prault and Francoise Saugrain. When I Google Jeanne Marie Prault, Pierre Prault, and Francoise Saugrain I get a result for a Jeanne Prault that was born in 1720 but Nicolas was born somewhere between 1552 and 1555. Some of the family trees on Ancestry.com even have Ambroye married to the 1720 Jeanne.

The easy explanation is there might be a Jeanne Prault born around 1520 as well as the 1720 one. However, this isn't only limited to Jeanne. I'm a little confused on Ambroye as well. Some of the family trees on Ancestry.com say his father, Ambroye, was born in 1453 but it seems highly unlikely he would father a child when he is around 100 years old. Some family trees have an Ambroye whose father has the same name and his birth year was 1515. If we take those years at face value, it means the first Ambroye had a son when he was around 62.

Is there anyone out there with actual documents we can verify? This needs some serious clarification.
