My family descends from the Pinards from France coming to Canada in the 1600's. A ggggg grandfather is Guillaume Pinard born 1689 but then like many familys changed his name to Beauchemin because of where he lived. If anyone belongs to this family of Pinards(beauchemin) lets talk. Post a message and we can talk.

Hi Dave,
Many of us descend from the First Pinard from France. I descend three times from him. One from Guillaume PINARD who's descendants took on BEAUCHEMIN and RAICHE as surnames. And also Antoine who married Marie JUTRAS. I also descend from their sister Ursule PINARD. So that's three. I have a lot of information on them, but currently all is in storage so I am doing this from memory. I have collected tons of information from Nicolet, Baie Du Febvre, and Drummondville Quebec, and I have tons of marriages from all over Quebec. As soon as i get the stuff from storage (sometime in the next year).

My e-mail is: budlem2001@hotmail.com

I'm located in the state of Washington......near Aberdeen.

Your cousin, cousin, and cousin,
Bud Lemire

I'm not sure if we are actually related, but...my great grandfather was from Trois Rivieres in Canada. His name was Edmond Beauchemin. Unfortunately that is all I know. And that his father was married twice, because the reason he said he left Canada was because his father remarried.

Ring any family tree bells?

Agnes Agatha Pinard was my wife's great great grandmother. I believe I found her in the 1851 Canadian census living in St. David, Yamaska County, Quebec. She was twelve at the time, so the age seems to match. Other members of the household included Guillaume Pinard (age 51), Marie Trudel (age 34), Edward Pinard (age 21), Constance Pinard (age 17), and Joseph Borgman (age 8). A family history written by Philip DeJarlais indicates that her father was Eduard Pinard- no mention of who her mother was. I am not certain that Eduard is correct. When I found this census, I thought that perhaps Guillaume might be her father, but unfortunely this census does not indicate the relationships of those in the household. My wife's mother, who is now deceased, had mentioned the possibility of a Native American ancestor (perhaps Agnes Agatha's mother??) If anyone out there knows anything about Agnes Agatha's parents, I would sure like to learn about that.
