My grandfather was born in Portugal (Azores) -please forgive any spelling errors- ended up in New England. Married (by arrangment I believe). I don't know if he had any brothers or sisters (save the one, which I was named for).

Here is what I know

Virginia Pimentel (Ferdinan's sister)

Ferdinan Pimentel married Beatrice Silva (I believe she was born in the US, her birthdate is 1-21-1900)
children: Frederick, Leonard, Hellena

All lived in New England as of the 1919 anyway (date of my dad's birth)

I don't know if you will check this since your note was posted so long ago, but it is possible that we are related. I know that my father's family settled in New England, and I seem to remember a Silva in there somewhere. Have you found out any more?

Dear Jing,
My grandfather was from the Phillipines. I am also trying to research my roots. His name was Joe Belasco Pimentel Sr.
He was born in 1903. I believe I have several relatives there but don't know any names except one-Susan Pimentel-So.
My grandfathers middle name is also his mother's maiden name. Is Pimentel a common name? I didn't think so but it
seems alot harder to research than I thought.

Hi Chris I am in Hawaii right now, my father's middle name is Pimentel he was born in Ilo-ilo. I just happen to stumble on this ancestry site and it is kinda interesting to know your family roots. I did not get to see my grandma I don't even know her real name. I am still making a little research about my grandparents too, so goodluck to both of us as we try to to know more about our genealogy.

Hi!

I'm trying to find information on an Alfonso Pimentel.

He came from Malabuyoc, Cebu and was born before 1896.

He moved to Liverpool in the early 1900s with his wife and possibly 2 children (their names may have been John and Mary).

He only had one sibling, Filomena aka "Nena".

He was my great-grandmother's only brother and we are trying to locate this missing piece of our family.

Thanks!
