The subject line says it all! I am working on a PIMBLE genealogy for Pennsylvania and New Jersey and will be happy to share with other researchers. Anybody out there?
I know the name originated in Britain -- family lore says Wales, but I have been unable to verify that. A lot of work has been done in Britain, but I'm having a hard time confirming the connection to the U.S. branch of the family.

Hi
I have been doing a lot of family research re the Pimbles as this was my maiden name.
There were a lot of Pimble in Wales. My grandfather was born in Wales but the family originated from Cheltenham in Gloucestershire.
I would be interested in any names that you have for the family in Wales and I may be able to give you more information but I don't yet have any connection to America.

Not to any recent generations in my PIMBLE line, sorry -- but probably we do hook up way back there. The PIMBLE name seems to have originated in or near Gloucester a couple of centuries back... though I have heard that it might be of Welsh origin?

Hi
I'm looking for a connection to Alfred William Pimble who was born 16.11.1870 in Rutland St, Cheltenham. His mother was Jane Pimble. I think a lot of Pimbles lived in Rutland Street then.
Alfred then married Ellen Jordan in 1870 and they moved to 2 Baptist Square, Blaenllechay, Ystradyfodwg and then to 94 Lake St, Ferndale, Ystradyfodwg. They had nine children When Ellen died he married Florence Ellen Carter and they had four children.
I would really like more info on Jane Pimble.

Hi Lisa
My Pymbles are from Ballingham in Hereford and I had assumed before now that it was a Herefordshire name. They seem to have changed from Pimble to Pymble around 1800.
