Tom Pillichody, 77, of Parkersburg died Tuesday January 16, 2007 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in Dayton, OH a son of the late Albert J. and Cecil (Harmony) Pillichody.

He graduated from Purdue University in 1951, where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He retired in 1989 from Borg Warner after 22 years of service. He worked at Frigidare in Dayton, OH prior to working at Borg Warner. He was a United States Army veteran having served from 1953-1955 and worked at the Army Chemical Center in Edgewood, MD. He was a member of American Legion Post 15. He was also a member of Dawes Arboretum Bonsai Society, and the Columbus Bonsai Society. He kept in touch with his many friends across the country through email.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years Nancy (Hurd) Pillichody; two sons and daughters-in-law Jim and Marianna Pillichody of Milton, WV and Jeff and Lori Pillichody of Dayton, VA; a daughter Susan Miller of Marietta, OH; grandchildren James Pillichody, Amber Fetty and her husband Dwaine along with their children John and Sheridan, Trisha Dent and her son Michael, Justin, Jordan, Joshua, and Jenna Pillichody, Allison Dickson, and Ashley, Zachary, and Olivia Miller; a sister and brother-in-law Nancy and Bob Wagner of Dayton, OH; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant brother.

Services will be Saturday 1:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church with Reverend Mike Seely officiating and military honors by American Legion Post 15. Visitation will be Friday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg.
