Hello. My name is Ania and i had grandfather Pilarski. His name was Alojzy. He died in Germany in 1983 I think. He was living in Koty in Poland. This is a little town near Tarnowskie Gory. I never saw him. But most of his children are still alive. My mother for example. He had 5 children - Aniela, Jan, Roman, Stefania and Urszula.
I hope you write me something about you. And your family. Bye.

You wrote this message 4 years ago so I wonder if you are still checking it. My grandfather was Rolf Pilarski he married Frieda Berta Wenzel. Rolf moved to the united states in 1923 on the ship "Roosevelt" and settled in NY. His father was Jon Pilarski. They were from Kommorrow, Poland

Johanna Pilarski married Ladislaus Sosnowicz in Brooklyn, NY in the late 1890s or early 1900s. They had the following children: Sophia Sosnowicz, Wanda Sosnowicz, and Stanley Sosnowicz. The marriage of Johanna and Ladislaus ended. Johanna Pilarski then married Stanislaw Kilisch. They had two daughters: Helen Kilisch and Martha Kilisch. The Johanna's second marriage also ended. Johanna then married Mr. Mason, which ended. Johanna married for a final time to George Hovey. George Hovey died at the age of 59 in 1935. Johanna was prevented from attending George's funeral by John Hovey, George's brother, because of apparent family disagreements. Regardless, Johanna (Pilarski) Hovey died a widow in Northwood, Ohio at the age of 80 in 1960. If interested to review further, contact me at

The Johanna Pilarski in my family would not have been born at this time. She moved to the United States in 1930 and she was 17 at the time and the entire family changed their surname to Pearl when they arrived. Thanks so much for replying.

Was this person a relative (brother?) of Stella? Did they live in Pittsburgh? If so, that might be me.
