It seems this site isn't too busy. I don't know if this helps because the messages seem old, but there are Pilarski's listed in Posen, MI. in St. Casimir's Catholic Church 1879. This site might be of interest http://members.aol.com/alpenaco/presque/index.htm . I was looking for some connection for Joanna Pilarski, listed on my mothers 1912 Baptismal Certificate as being one of her Sponsors. I don't believe that they just picked friends to be sponsors so I thought she may be a relative of the family. I guess i just hit another brick in my wall. I hope I helped you.

I am researching a Johanna Nowicki who married Louis Pilarski in Posen, MI in 1902. Could this be the same Johanna Pilarski you mention?

Was your johanna born on 6 Mar 1897?. If so then we may have a match.
I hope to hear from you soon.

My Johanna was born on March 6, 1879. Could you possibly have transposed the last two figures in the year. I'm sure of mine because I have two marriages for her one in 1896 and to Louis Pilarski in 1902.

Hi,
My great grandfather was Jacob Pilarski who was married to Anna Milczarek brn 1869. Anna's mother was Anna Nowicki or Anna Noweski. Jacob's father I think was Stephen Pilarski and his mothers name was Mary..no maiden name. They came from Posen or Posen Province and Koscliene Poland. They migrated to Potters County, Pa in 1890 I think.
Coudersport was the town in Pa. They later moved to Duluth , Minn, then to Wisconsin,
Do you have any info on these people? Thanks Rose Gerow e-mail at.....rsgrw@webtv.net

I have 3 Joseph Pilarski's in my tree but I do not think that they are your Pilarski's. My oldest Joseph (about 1870) was married to Monica Samplatski. I do not have his parents, however they were married in Presque Isle County, MI.
Joseph and Monica had a son, Joseph born 1904. My last Joseph Pilarski was the son of Ludwig (Louis) Pilarski and Johanna Nowicki. He was born in 1908. My oldest Pilarski isAnton Pilarski married to Mary Kotilar (Louis' parents) They were among the earliest settlers of Presque Isle County, MI.
I know they were here in 1875 as I have a child born to them in MI in that year.

I was compelled to throw a name in the mix. My Aunt was Johanna Pilarski, but she may have been too young to be a sponsor for a baptism.
