Please email me as I am interested in talking with you about the Piker ancestry. I met Mary Sand on the net and she is kin to us as well as is very helpful and does alot of searches into the Piker name. Have you corresponded with her any? Waiting to hear from you.

I saw your email. I just decided to type my own name into google and I pulled up your discussion.

I am curious about my background. My Dad is Delano Adley Piker in Arkansas, his dad is Newton Adley Piker who moved to Ark. from Peoria. He had 26 children, my dad being one of them. According to Dad, we are 4th generation Americans, the Pikers coming from Germany. Newton married my Grandma Violet who was an American Indian from OK. Newton passed in his 70's (I was about 3), I have 2 uncles and 1 aunt who around my same age, so Grandpa was a busy guy!!

I have one brother and one sister we are in CA. Dad moved back to AR., about 3 years ago. We have family in IN., Tony Davis, Alene Piker's son (my dad's sister).

Hi
Alene Piker was my grandmother, who is your dad? I remember visiting family in California when I was very young, I think they were in Sacramento. Anyway, Tony is my uncle and he no longer lives in Indiana, I do not know much about the Piker family just wondering what you knew?

Hope to hear from you

There was a rift between John Peter and the rest of the Pikers in Terre Haute. I don't know the reason but I've always suspected that the family didn't approve of his second marriage to Mary Richards/Mindrum. It was only a little more than a year after Elizabeth died and she was quite a bit younger than he was. I would be glad to send you a copy of the Piker tree.
