I've come to a bit of a dead end with my family tree research. I'm trying to find more info about my great-grandmother's family, mainly her parents and any other siblings. Her name was Maria Saletta or Saletta Pignanelli born in or about 1891 in San Giovanni in Fiore, Cosenza, Calabria, Italy. She came to America on November 9th, 1907 with her sister Angela Pignanelli who was a few years older than her. They were in Canada for a short while before settling in Spokane, Washington. I believe they already had family member(s) in Spokane before they immigrated because the Ellis Island ship manifest looks like it says so. Searches show that there are A LOT of Pignanelli's that came from San Giovanni in Fiore over a span of many years. I'm not sure if that means they were ALL related or not. If anyone recognizes these names can you please help? It would be greatly appreciated.
