I just noticed your comment about Owen Lucien Pigford who had a son by a family slave. The son's name was William Pigford.
I wonder if Owen's son was my Great grandfather. The only information I have is William had a wife named Caroline. They must have had at least one son named Arthur Pigford (my grandfather). Arthur Pigford may have lived in Bryant,Texas. Arthur had sons Lozelle, Arthur, and Millard Pigford.
Could William be the African American Son of Owen? If so do you know anything about the slave?....a name perhaps....All the above Pigfords including me are from Texas. Please share what you my know or where I can look.
Thanks,
David Pigford

My cousin Vicky Mitchell posted a query, response to which she sent me. Thank you for answering, but my great-grandfather was William Wright Pigford, born September 5, 1845, died August 20, 1919.
