I have just started to consider doing a lineage profile for my family so I don't have much information.
My father was born Guillaume Francois Pigeau in Bonfield in November 1918. I do not know what my grandfather's name was, but his wife was Marie Louise--they lived in Bonfield, ON. Marie Louise died giving birth to my father in Bonfield Nov 18, 1918. He was raised in Toronto by his grandfather and grandmother. I don't know the first name of my great-grandfather but my great-grandmother was referred to as Annie and was a native person. What I do know about my great-grandfather was he died (heart disease) in about 1960 and was 97 years old at that time. He had a sister named Loretta, who married a Mcveigh and lived in Toronto. My paternal grandfather (Pigeau) died when my father was about 12 years...so about 1930.
My father had a number of siblings. Due to the death of Marie Louise, the family was split up--some being adopted and others sent into domestic service. My father's siblings ...Edouard (Ville Marie PQ-deceased, heart attack 1957...he was running for Parliament at the time and apparently owned the John Deere business at Ville Marie), Blanche (North Bay-living status unk. she married a Guilmette), Marguerite (Brantford...deceased: last spouse Robb), Adelaide (deceased by suicide in Toronto, date unk), Clifford (Adopted "Crowley" Windsor. Was a Basilian priest; last Parish, St. Basil's Toronto-deceased) My father passed away August 28, 1980. My mother was Norine (Rame) deceased Aug. 18, 1995.
I believe there is a connection there to what you are looking for. I hope it helps. I available for communication by e-mail if you would like to share information.
PS...Clifford (pigeau) Crowley did genealogy and traced it back to Europe; he met Pigeaus there and apparently the name is originally Dutch...
