David Pier was the son of John J. Pier (born abt. 1790 Caldwell Twp. (Fairfield)), NJ and Sara ? (born abt. 1789 NJ). I believe that David Pier's first wife was Elizabeth ?(born abt. 1820 NJ) and she is the mother of John A. Pier born abt. 1841. See the 1850 Caldwell Twp., census. David's 2nd wife was Rachel Ann Van Duyne and they had 4 children (Sarah A., Williard, Anthony & Elmira). Williard married Mary Emma Dehart (born 1863 in Beavertown (present day Litte Falls), NJ. They had 4 kids (Emmons Floyd, Mervyn Lewis, Ada F and Grace B. I believe that David Pier (born abt. 1813 Caldwell Twp. (Fairfield, NJ) on Pier Lane decended from Johannes Pier (1730) and Hester Van Ness (1731-1820) through their son David (born date? in Fairfield, NJ). I also know that Johannes & Hester had other children: Isaac (born 1759) who married Marritje Post, Nailtje (or married Jacob Doremus), Susannah & Yanntje. Please share any information you have.
