Hi,
I realise this is the Peairs Board however I’m researching the very similarly spelt surname PIEARS.
Occurrences of the name Piears are mostly found in the United Kingdom. Almost all of these however can be traced back to a WILLIAM PIEARS, born c.1765 in/near Williamsburg, in King William County, Virginia, US. He joined the British Army (57th West Middlesex Regiment of Foot) in 1785/86 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, so I guess he was loyal to King George III.
My guess is that there’s a link somewhere between the Peairs and Piears families. Does anyone have any information or thoughts to support this view?
Does anyone have any information about who my William Piears’ parents were?
Has anyone come across any records of Piears?
Thanks.
Dave (David Piears Hayes)
