My grandfather Joseph Henry Piddock served in Burma with the 1st South Staffs Regt and married his first wife Eveline Hesse there in 1923. Her father was John Charles Hesse (deceased) an Inspector of Police.

It is understood that Eveline died sometime before 1927 and I would love to hear from anyone who may know what happened to her as I can find no reference for her death her in the UK.

Sharon.

Its unlikely we have any connectionas. I'm one of the family Piddock from East Kent. Anyway you never know.
My family lived in #~Deal Knet and the surrounding villaes since 1500 - any good?

Hi Herby.
1774 my 4 x gr grandfather William Piddock married Nancy Avery in Birmingham they had 7 children that I know of leading to my grandfather Joseph Henry piddock married first wife in Burma and then married my grandmother (Rosa Kathleen Bailey she was born in Kent and the Baileys and Excell family of whom she is a relative all lived there) when his first wife died. This part of the story is the mystery I am trying to solve !!

Anyway I believe we do have a connection to Kent as I have in the past heard from someone who was researching Piddocks in Kent and she believed there is a connection but at the moment havent got round to proving it. Thank you for taking the trouble to send me a message.
