We have a direct DNA match between two people with the last name PICKERING and my husband (descended from PICKRELL ancestors). My husband's line goes up to John Pickrell (1750-1829), who possibly came from England. Don't know if the name started as Pickering and evolved to Pickrell or vice-versa. Do any of you have any insight into this?
