I am a descended from Harriet Pickel, she was my great grandmother on my mothers side.
I am going to Missouri next week to look for some info on the Peck side of my family and also got interested in the Pickels.
When I was about 12 (1976) my grandfather took us there and we saw a lot of old graves and homesteads that he remembered as the Pickel side of the family.
I recently came across a photo that is marked as 'JL and Eugenia Pickel". I believe this to be Elizabeth (walker) pickel and Jacob Lee, possibly on their wedding day judging from their attire.
I don't want to get your hopes up but I may have the birth dates of the 5 girls, my grandmother left us a genealogy as well as she knew and I am not sure if the girls all made that list. Beside that the other reason not to hope too much is that I am in the middle of a home remodel and honestly am not sure where that stuff is. However since I am getting interested in this again I will probably look a little harder for it when I get back from my trip.
