Hi Diana,

It is apparent that you have done extensive research. I'm a first generation Portuguese, whose grandparents are from Graciosa, and I want to start a family tree(the birth of my daughter prompted my intertest). I'm would be interested in any info you have gather during your research.

Obrigado,

Mario Picanco

My Great grandparents are Jose Correeia Picanco andspouse is Olimpie Candida, they had a daughter Lidia born in Bahia, Brazil around 1879 and Lidia also had a half sister names Rosa daSilva Bettencourt. Lidia was married to Manuel Jose Espinola on May 16, 1903. I hope you can give me information on Jose and Olimpie Picanco. I think they settled in Graciosa, Azores.

This Picanco is not a close relation to my ancestors...they may or may not connect further into the ancestry, but, I have no information to help you!
