Info about Piacentini family that came from Italy
I am looking for information about Constantino Piacentini and Justina Piacentini. They came to the U.S. in 1908 and settled in Maine. He had 10 children. His youngest child was Francis Piacentini.

My Grandparents, Pio and Rose Piacentini came from Italy around 1913. They came from a small town East of Rome called Arsoli. As my father was orphaned, my Grandfather's family is a bit sketchy. We know that one of my grandfather's brothers went to Argentina. My father has found cousins in Arsoli and met them.
In any case Piacentini is a fairly common name in the north of Italy. We believe it originated in a town called Piacenza.
Over the web I have heard of several other Piacentini's. One was from the Carribean. If Constantino was from Arsoli, please drop me a note, we may be cousins.

There is a John or Jack Piacentini in Athens, Georgia who is from Maine and I believe has a father or an uncle named Frank. He may be a descendant of the person you are looking for.
My Grandfather Carl Piacentini was from Lucca. He settled in Portland Oregon with his brother Angelo sometime around 1910. I know he had at least two sisters, Esther and Teresa, both of whom stayed in Italy.

Thanks for all the information
I wanted to thank everyone for their replys and information. The research I was doing was for a school project on my grand-father Francic/Frank Piacentini. It's really very funny "what a small world it is". I've meet Jack Piacentini from Athens several years back and he's a distance cousin (one of Frank's many nephew's). He also has a son named Steve, whose wife and daughter were over to the house last week. Joyce, your grand-daughter is super cute.
Thanks Again!!!
